Silverlake is a sustainable holiday community in Dorset that creates a common place for nature and architecture to co-exist in harmony.

With COVID-19 lockdown restrictions easing, our new graduate members of the WIA Team were able to visit Silverlake on 26th of August to assist in carrying out a stage sign-off of eleven holiday homes. Spending time on site allows the newer employees to see the different trades collaborating on the build. We were able to visit three phases of the project and witness work in progress; from piling foundations and laying ground floor concrete slabs to full height installations of the prefabricated timber Structural Insulated Panels frames (SIPs).  A very useful day for the junior members of our team who will have had limited practical experience during the pandemic.

  • UK Property Awards – Best Leisure Development in the UK and Best Leisure Architecture in South West England 2017-18
  • Wildlife Trust – Building with Nature Excellent Accreditation
  • National House Building Council – Pride in Job Quality Award
  • RTPI SW – Winner of Excellence in Other Planning Work 2019
