We are looking for someone who has a passion for technical detailing and an eye for quality.
You will have the opportunity to be part of the team delivering a large-scale Passivhaus accredited Student Accommodation development, providing technical solutions to support the design and coordination.
As an experienced Technician, you will be responsible for providing buildable solutions involving all aspects of Architectural delivery and coordinating detailed information across all disciplines. You will also be required to support the Project Architect, reviewing and responding to technical queries and sub-contractor information.
The projects will entail liaising with clients, consultants and the construction team so you should be professional, friendly and flexible.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent design skills with the ability to work through technical issues across all RIBA work stages and have a good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and experience of writing NBS specifications (chorus and source experience is a benefit).
Applicants must be proficient in Revit (family creation and amending), working in BIM Collaborate Pro and also be able to demonstrate experience of AutoCAD. A broad experience of working in a BIM environment is vital, with Level 2 working knowledge required. Experience working in Revizto & Morta would be useful, however training can be given, and experience in other platforms is welcome (Navisworks/Solibri, for example).
We would also welcome applicants with specific interests or experience in low-carbon design and whole-life carbon analysis.
The right applicant will be organised, enthusiastic, self-motivated as well as a team player with an adaptable nature, good written and verbal skills as well as fluency in speaking and writing English.
If you can show experience in some or all of the above and are interested in progressing your career with us, we would love to hear from you.
The position is maternity cover for a 12-month to be reviewed at the end of the period, based from our Bristol office, offering a competitive salary based on your level of experience.
