On the 31st of July 2025, our Founder Directors, Paula Willmore and Andrew Iles will retire from Willmore Iles Architects. Their passion, creativity, and commitment have been instrumental in building Willmore Iles into the respected and successful practice it is today. As we celebrate their remarkable achievements over the past 25 years, we are also incredibly excited for the future of the business

This transition has been carefully planned over the past five years. Our Director, Stephen Draper, and fellow Senior Leadership Team members have been working to develop a comprehensive plan to underpin the future success of Willmore Iles Architects and to support Andrew and Paula’s retirement.

We have developed a strong Senior Leadership Team by fostering a culture of effective teamwork, based on trusting, open, and accountable relationships, allowing everyone to maximize their potential for the benefit of the company.

We know that our success stems from the expert service we provide, particularly in our core sectors of Student Residential and Leisure. Our specialist expertise and service have led to the development of many long-standing partnerships with clients over the past 25 years.

To ensure a seamless transition and maintain the standards of excellence established by Paula and Andrew, we are pleased to announce our intention to promote Tim Abram and Rachael Liddle-Browne to the role of Director alongside Stephen. Tim will lead the Student Residential sector, and Rachael will lead the Leisure sector. Ben Murrell, Simon Baker, and Robbie Thorley will continue in their roles in the Senior Leadership Team, supported by our motivated team of Architects, Assistants and Technicians.

Each brings a wealth of experience, sector knowledge, innovative thinking, and a deep commitment to our company values and vision. The Senior Leadership Team’s collective expertise spans decades and ensures that our partner clients will continue to receive the highest level of service.

We are confident that under their leadership, Willmore Iles Architects will continue to thrive and build upon the strong foundation laid by our founders. Our commitment to delivering high-quality, deliverable projects and fostering lasting client relationships remains paramount.
