Works starts on site at Moberly and Spreytonway at the University of Exeter. The Moberly scheme sees the demolition of existing halls of residence (139 bedrooms) and the construction of a replacement building providing 251 student bedrooms with shared bathrooms, providing affordable campus accommodation. The Spreytonway scheme sees the demolition of a derelict house, and the construction of 131 ensuite bedrooms arranged in cluster flats.
Following financial close on 28th June, UPP’s development of sites at Moberly and Spreytonway at the University of Exeter are progressing, with Vinci taking possession of both sites. Enabling works are underway, including the careful process of replacing bats into bat boxes within surrounding trees. Demolition of the existing buildings is to start in the autumn, with construction to begin in November 2018. WIA are looking forward to working with Vinci and the rest of the project team to deliver another successful UPP scheme for the University.
