We were approached by Lisa Elliott to look at improving the access to her florists shop in Clifton Village. The shop had a difficult pedestrian access which did not meet DDA standards, plus a congested sales area.
The brief for the project developed into an extensive refurbishment of the whole shop unit.
We reconfigured the shop window using the original timber section dimensions, but provided a 1m wide entrance and level access. To increase the flower display area and improve circulation, we placed the sales and preparation areas centrally. The internal design mixed raw and polished finishes. The improved street presence, better access and larger sales area have helped significantly increase the turnover of the business. The shop frontage was designed with joinery patterns to match the original.
