The Ashley Arms was in a poor state, with several changes of management failing to maintain the pub. Our client, Bar Wars, purchased the pub in late 2009 and asked us to revamp the building into a proper ‘local’.

The proposals make the best possible use of the front and rear gardens. And we created a large, open plan space on the first floor, which is used as a games and function room.

We designed the interior in partnership with Carbon, who we have previously worked with on other bar and club projects in Bristol including the Park Bar, The North and Native.

This project has had positive feedback and support from the local business community.
