The scheme provides ten new student flats of varying sizes, each with its own kitchen / living / dining room space.
The proposals also included the complete replacement of the existing strip glazed facade with a softer, domestic scale composition of timber rainscreen cladding and high performance modern windows.
The scheme directly adjoins a conservation area. We worked with the planning authority and local residents so that the scheme enhances the street scene and positively contributes to the quality of this small part of Southsea.
Once completed the building received very positive feedback from local residents.
