The success of the first phase of the Plymouth University / UPP partnership led to the development of phase two, a further 252 rooms.
In this phase, the University proposed a new café and social space for the scheme. It was an early example of the development of student social spaces in what became known as the residential quarter of the Plymouth Campus.
