RIBA ARB IOSH

Director

I am an architect with 15 years’ experience in residential student accommodation. I am responsible for coordinating practice CDM and am a member of IOSH and APS. As Construction Director, I will typically undertake the role of principal designer and oversee project construction for work stages 3-6.

Background:

I joined Willmore Iles Architects in 2003 as a Project Architect and became a Director in 2010.

During this time, I have been involved in the design and delivery of over 7,500 student bedrooms and other large-scale projects.

I am very proud to have been a part of Willmore Iles’ growth and its transformation into an employee owned practice. I am proud too, that we are a market leader in student accommodation design.

Professional interests:

I am a passionate believer that good architecture must deliver buildable solutions that work for all stakeholders and users.

Successful architecture is achieved by considering all aspects of its creation. From the lines on the page in the office, to the installation of its material on site and on to its life in use.

As architects we design for our client, not for ourselves, and it matters that we get it right.

And in the rest of life …

I have two primary school age daughters and am a School Governor. I run to keep fit and am undertaking a few small scale self-build projects. As I’m from a farming family, I am definitely happiest when in the countryside.
